The scope industry is huge and there is a lot to look
at. Unfortunately, a great number of companies offer only fair, to
outright lousy quality. Good lens glass quality has, and still
remains, an art made by only the very best experienced producers.
The trick is knowing who they are, who they build for, and how to buy
their products at a good price.
 One must also be a little careful in paying too much
because sometimes you don't always get that much extra for the additional
money spent. There are some very fine scopes that are good for
most applications that can be bought reasonably and we will advise you
on those products. We have had good luck with

A lot of people are
leaning toward the quick detachable mount system. With the quick
release mounts, you can mount a scope, zero it, remove it, reattach it,
and remain nearly dead-on with your original point of impact. This
allows the use of more than one scope on a rifle without the loss of
zero in the field.
