Van Dyke Rifle Designs is pleased to announce startup production of
their fine line of tactical and varmint rifles. Located in the North
Central Kansas community of Plainville, the company is owned and
operated by John and Gena Van Dyke.
Mr. Van Dyke’s skill in creating his excellent line of rifles stem from
his interest in firearms at an early age and his mastery of machining
and precise metal work. Mr. Van Dyke is also an avid reloader and
skilled shooter which increases his understanding of ballistics utilized
in building tactical rifles.
Van Dyke Rifles are carefully built to precise and exacting tolerances
to create superbly accurate shooting instruments. Van Dyke rifles begin
with actions from Remington, Winchester, Ruger or a variety of other
makers. Rifles can be built on actions supplied by the customer or
furnished by Van Dyke Rifles if required. All actions are blueprinted
and finely tuned to provide a proper receiver centerline. Bolts are
sleeved to exacting tolerances for correct fit within the receiver. The
receiver locking lugs are squared to fit the recesses correctly and the
bolt face is trued to be concentric to the centerline. These steps are
taken to eliminate nearly all harmonic vibration which is critical for
accurate shooting. World class select match grade barrels from Shilen,
Krieger, Lilja and others are carefully chambered to exact tolerances
using live pilot reamers. Careful attention is paid in keeping the
cartridge and bore concentric to each other, greatly enhancing accuracy
even with factory ammunition. Custom loading dies can be provided to
match the chamber tolerances as well as a bullet seating gauge.
The custom built rifles are offered in all standard calibers as well as
many of the popular wildcats. Cartridges from the .204 Ruger to the .585
Nyati along with many others can be chambered to rifles built to your
specifications. Many of the larger calibers can have their recoil tamed
with the use of recoil brakes. Brakes can be made by Van Dyke Rifles or
other designs can be utilized. Muzzle brakes are very helpful in making
that favorite large bore a pleasure to shoot and also aids in
controlling shooters flinch created by heavy recoil.
McMillan and H S Precision synthetic stocks are the mainstay for the Van
Dyke line. These glass filled composites provide very stable platforms
on which to glass bed a barreled action creating a consistent shooting
rifle. Accuracy International’s chassis system is used for many of the
tactical rifles Van Dyke builds. This unique system utilizes a vee block
aluminum chassis that bolts together around the barreled action creating
the stock. These are among the finest tactical stocks in the world and
are used by many military units and law enforcement agencies around the
globe.
Scopes from Leupold, Zeiss, Swarovski, Nikon and other scope makers are
available for a wide range of uses. Mr. Van Dyke is well versed in
optics used in today’s rifle industry and is always very helpful in
selecting just the right scope for the customers needs. Quick detachable
mounts can be used and are machined to close tolerances allowing a
return to near zero after removing and reattaching the scope. Van Dykes
preferred firearm finish is the tough Teflon/Moly coating. This formula
impregnates the pores in the rifles surface and creates a finish nearly
impervious to the elements and stands up well to continued handling and
use. Finishes are available in matte black,
semi-gloss black, gray, stainless steel gray, dark Parkerizing gray,
earth brown, olive-drab green or a camo pattern if desired. Many other
finishes are available to suit your tastes or needs. Laser engraving in
a variety of patterns and design are available, even images taken from
photos. Whatever your needs or taste,
Van Dyke
Rifles can build that rifle you’ve always wanted. Van Dyke Rifles offer
a 30 day trial period beginning upon receipt of the rifle. If the
customer is not satisfied with their purchase, they may, within the 30
day trial period, return their Van Dyke rifle for a no questions asked
full refund. Van Dyke Rifles goal is to build the customer the best
rifle they can and offer this 30 day trial period as belief in their
product.
